The Demolition, and My Take

For those of you who haven’t been keeping up on the WDW graveyard expantion, I suggest you do so by visiting my facebook page.
If you are now up to date, here is my opinion (as well that of many dedicated Haunted Mansion fans).
Optimists and those who enjoy the “Enchanted Tiki Room; Under new Management” may want to stop reading at this point.
The Haunted Mansion is a work of art. There may never, ever, be another attraction like it anywhere. The level of detail that care that has been given to it over the past 40+ years is remarkable. The Imagineers that worked on the 2007 updates, whether or not you like it, kept a unity throughout the attraction. Nothing is too cartoony, nothing is too out of place. It’s suggestive, but not over the top “Haunted” exterior is one of it’s many important elements. An element that, unfortunately, is now gone and gives me absolutely no hope on what may actually become of the attraction itself. The blame should be given to both the Theme park execs and the Imagineers for their lack of effort that seemed to be given to this expansion. I may just be overreacting, but I have heard some (inside) information regarding what is to come, and I must say I am terribly disappointed. But I will wait, and I will see for myself. There is a chance that I will have to bite my tongue… but I doubt it.
If you think that these additions are fantastic, I completely respect your opinion. This is just mine.
